Why I built SafeMove AI
On an ordinary Friday afternoon, my father — a healthy 46-year-old director at a Fortune 100 company — had a stroke alone in his closed office. The building was full of cameras, but they were passive recorders. He collapsed at his desk and stayed motionless on the floor. For nearly three hours, nobody noticed. By the time a colleague walked in, the window for the most effective treatment had closed.
As I sat in the hospital waiting room, one thought kept circling: "We have AI that recognizes faces and reads license plates. How can no AI notice that a human has been lying still on the floor for three hours?" The cameras had seen everything, and understood nothing.
I built SafeMove AI to fix exactly that — narrow but useful. We don't claim to diagnose strokes from camera footage; no honest AI can. We focus on the unmistakable signal a medical emergency leaves behind: a body that suddenly stops moving and doesn't get back up.
